Anxiety among the middle school students at Jeddah City and its relationship with self-confidence from the view point of teachers

Abstract

The study aimed at investigating the relationship between anxiety and self confidence among students in Jeddah city from the viewpoint of their teachers, and also to know the effect of teachers' gender, experience and qualification on their viewpoint. The sample of the study consisted of 223 teachers, 64 males and 159 females from four public schools in Jeddah city/Saudi Arabia. Results shows there are statistically significant differences in the viewpoint of teachers about the relationship between anxiety and self-confidence among students, it also shows that there are statistically significant differences at (a= 0.05) in the viewpoint of teachers due to the gender variable, and there are statistically significant differences at (a= 0.05) in the viewpoint of teachers about the relationship between anxiety and self-confidence among students due to experience variable and qualification variable.
